Bicyclist Cited After Crash at Bike Path’s Lake Street Crossing

The bicyclist admitted to not stopping at the crossing, police said.

A bicyclist was cited by police Wednesday morning after crashing into the side of a car at the Minuteman bike path’s Lake Street crossing.

The bicyclist admitted to not stopping at the crossing, which has a stop sign on the bike path, and said the crash was his fault, according to police. He was cited for not stopping at the sign, police said.

The crash occurred at about 8:30 a.m. The bicyclist was not injured.

The driver said she had stopped for a pedestrian at the crossing and then had continued forward when the bicyclist ran into her.
