This is not a traditional concert. It’s an immersive experience designed to transport you from the moment the lights dim until the final encore.
The night features Little Miss and the Boom’s signature blend of swing, blues, jazz, and modern vintage favorites, presented in a carefully crafted theatrical production that moves from intimate and sultry to playful, exhilarating, and unforgettable.
Adding to the evening, acclaimed burlesque artist Pixie Payne joins the cast for an exclusive performance created especially for The Velvet Hour, seamlessly woven into the night’s story.

The <a href="https://artsarlington.org/TinyShed" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Tiny Shed Arts &amp; Discovery Series</a> brings live music, pop-up arts and crafts workshops, art exhibits, and more to the heart of Arlington every weekend from May to October.
The series is hosted at the Arlington Visitor Center, located next to Uncle Sam Plaza in Arlington Center, by the Minuteman Bikeway at the intersection of Mass Avenue and Mystic Street.

The Yoga of Energy Flow 300-hour Yoga Teacher Training brings all aspects of yoga to deeper levels of experience, understanding, and application, welcoming both working teachers and dedicated practitioners who are ready to go further. If you are a teacher, you will expand your skills, encounter new methodologies, and return to your students with fresh material and renewed inspiration. If you are a practitioner coming for personal growth, you will find your understanding of this ancient art transformed at its roots. Both paths are equally honored here. Over 11 immersive months, you will encounter yoga’s classical philosophy, its therapeutic power, its energetic intelligence, and its most sophisticated methodologies — and carry all of it forward into your life, your practice, and wherever your path leads. Each monthly weekend immersion is thematically focused, carefully curated, and led by a faculty of master teachers. Between gatherings, two live Zoom sessions per month sustain your studies, your practice, and your growing community. This training stands apart: every one of its 270 hours is spent in direct contact with master teachers. That is not a small thing. It is where knowledge becomes wisdom. The August full moon is known as the Sturgeon Moon, named for a time when sturgeon — an ancient freshwater fish of the Great Lakes — grew abundant and easier to catch. The sturgeon symbolizes longevity, survival, and ancestral wisdom, inviting us to go beneath the surface and reconnect with the wisdom that already lives within us. This month's full moon rises in Pisces, a water sign attuned to emotion, creativity, intuition, and fluidity. Expect emotional currents to stir, bringing feelings to the surface to be felt and released. 

This month, we gather outdoors in the backyard of one of our fellow moon worshippers. Together, under the open sky, we will honor the Full Moon through guided meditation, reflection, and shared insight. We'll create intentional lists — what we're ready to release, and what we wish to call in — and offer them to the fire as a symbolic act of letting go and manifestation. We'll close the circle by drawing oracle cards, each person receiving a message, affirmation, or gentle guidance from the universe.
The gathering is welcoming, nurturing, and supportive — open to all who feel called to connect, reflect, release, and renew. It is offered in conjunction with Mystic Open Studio and Devlin O'Malley Healing.

Lexington Pops Chorus will hold two free open rehearsals September 8th and 15th
at 7:30 p.m. in Clark Hall at Hancock Church, 1912 Massachusetts Ave. Lexington. We invite new singers to join us in September and January, and we especially welcome new tenors. Auditions are not required, but singers must be able to read music. We sing a wide variety of music, including classical, jazz, blues, folk, gospel, Broadway and more.
Our winter concerts scheduled for Friday evening, January 15th, and Sunday afternoon, January 17th, 2027, will feature Johann Sebastian Bach’s Magnificat in D (BWV 243), A Gershwin Portrait, “Satin Doll”, “Lift Every Voice and Sing”, and other selections. Our spring concerts will be on Friday evening, May 21st, and Sunday afternoon, May 23rd, 2027. We often have guest soloists and additional instrumentalists at our concerts.
Lexington Pops Chorus is in its 45th season and enjoys the enthusiasm of singers from over 20 towns. Maxwell Evrard has been the chorus’s Conductor/Director for four years. John Tarrh has been the Assistant Conductor for 12 years. David Owens, Accompanist, is in his 23rd season with the chorus. Lexington Pops Chorus is a member of The Greater Boston Choral Consortium.

On Sunday, September 20th, Sudbury will host our third inaugural <a href="https://kids.pmc.org/sudbury" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Sudbury PMC Kids Bike Ride</a>.&nbsp;Our ride is a 1-mile loop that riders may enjoy as long as they would like. The one mile course is entirely paved and loops through the beautiful residential neighborhoods of historic Sudbury. Parents are welcome to ride with their children but it is not required. If a parent chooses to accompany their child on the bike, we ask that they register as volunteers.&nbsp;
Many kids choose to ride the loop 3-6-12 or even 15 times. We encourage riders to participate as long as they would like. We will have special badges for riders who accomplish 5-8-12 and 15 miles, too! Please indicate at registration an estimate of your rider's total distance (this will help us for event organization).&nbsp;There is also an enclosed parking lot loop all starting from Curtis Middle School in Sudbury, MA. (Adults may opt to register as volunteers if they would like to ride with the kids). Before the ride there will be music and bike decorating; during the ride and following there will be an Ice-Cream Truck, Food Truck, Coffee Truck, huge bouncy castle, lawn games, music and more. All registered riders will get a free ice cream from our friends at Trombetta’s Farm Ice Cream. Registration takes place from 8:30am-9:45am. The ride is from 10:00am-11:30am, and food and games will be available from 10:00am - 1:00pm.
“The Pan-Mass Challenge is a Massachusetts-based bike-a-thon that raises more money for charity than any other single athletic fundraising event in the country. Always held the first weekend in August, the PMC raises funds for Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, a world leader in adult and pediatric cancer treatment and research. Each summer, thousands of riders and volunteers from 43 states and 12 countries participate in the PMC, all with a common goal: to find a cure for cancer.
100 percent of all rider-raised funds go directly to cancer research and treatment at Dana-Farber and the Jimmy Fund. The PMC is Dana-Farber’s single largest supporter and is 62 percent of the Jimmy Fund’s annual revenue. Since 1980, the PMC has raised $972 million for Dana-Farber.”
The Sudbury PMC Kids Bike Ride empowers young participants to contribute to a meaningful cause while enjoying a fun activity. By offering multiple course options, every child will have the opportunity to participate and make a difference - regardless of age or ability. Each ride distance is carefully planned to be safe and enjoyable, with designated routes through historic Sudbury neighborhoods that are well-marked and closely monitored by volunteers. For the youngest participants, the tot lot loop provides a secure environment where kids can ride in a contained area - strollers, scooters, tricycles are ALL welcome!
Beyond the joy of bike riding, the Sudbury PMC Kids Bike Ride serves as a powerful educational experience for children, teaching them about the impact of collective efforts in fighting cancer. As they pedal for a purpose, they learn about empathy, community involvement, and the importance of supporting breakthroughs in treatment and cures at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. This event not only raises crucial funds for cancer research but also instills valuable life lessons in the young riders; collectively we all pedal towards a more cancer-free future. As with all PMC rides, every penny donated goes directly to cancer treatment and research at Dana-Farber.

What happens in a True Story Theater performance? Our events bring together the delight of improvisation with the courageous vulnerability of people sharing their personal truth.
The show’s emcee (called “the conductor”) facilitates brief, spontaneous conversations with volunteers from the audience who share their own feelings and experiences related to the show’s theme. After each conversation, the actors and musician immediately embody the key feelings and actions they heard, using movement, music, dialogue, and superb listening. All of it is improvised on the spot. During the course of a 75-minute show, True Story enacts about 6-8 stories.
From this simple interaction, audience members feel validated, laugh, cry, get insights about their lives, and feel an expanded sense of community. You can share a moment from your life and see it performed, or just come to watch.
