Musical works by Karl Henning include Lamento por sorore sua (in memory of Kim Lillian), Amorphous and Forward Looking, Peace! The Charm’s Wound Up (inspired by the three weird sisters in Shakespeare’s MacBeth), Moose on the Loose (a nod to the Rocky and Bullwinkle Show), and Nostalgia Ain’t What it Used to Be.  Also included in the program are Kevin Scott’s Min’khah: In Remembrance Shoshanna C. Winson, and Robert Gross’ Four’s the Charm (a piece composed around musical fourths). Most of the pieces are heavily jazz influenced, and range from solemn and complex to the light hearted and energetic.

Performers for this concert include Karl Henning, music director, Peter H. Bloom, C flute and alto flute, Carol Epple, C flute and piccolo, Dan Zupan, bass clarinet and Greta Rosen, bassoon.
