The Arlington High School Performing Arts Parents Association (PAPA) is pleased to present this year’s Pops Concert featuring the Arlington High School Instrumental and Choral programs. This year’s concert theme will be a review of “Broadway Musicals”. Pops Performances will take place at Arlington Town Hall on Saturday, May 2 at 7:00 pm and Sunday, May 3 at 2:00 pm. A prerequisite to Daoist internal alchemy, the Microcosmic Orbit
 (MCO) was introduced to the western world as a seated meditation in the
 latter part of the 20th century. In Daoist communities in China, it was
 traditionally learned as part of a moving practice. Taiji Circling Hands
 is one of the most enduring qigong practices for that purpose. You will
 come away from this workshop with: a simple yet powerful single 
movement qigong practice ~ a profound traditional Daoist meditation ~ 
when combined, a time-honored practice that greatly amplifies the 
benefits of both, enhancing health, longevity, and spiritual

Since 2016,
 a welcoming group of psychedelic therapists, clinical trial 
participants and those new to the field have been meeting to discuss the
 evolving landscape of psychedelic medicine. We meet monthly to explore 
the historic, traditional and modern use of psychedelic medicine for the
 purpose of growth and universal connectivity. We discuss how to 
integrate this medicine in a way that honors tradition while also 
understanding the legal issues and science supporting its efficacy. 
Everyone is welcome and our attendees include psychedelic therapists, 
researchers, clinical trial participants along with folks with limited

Doors are at 6:30PM and the performance will begin at 7pm.This performance will spotlight the fascinating artistic legacy of the Mendelssohn family and, in particular, the connection between music and visual art in their lives. Fanny Mendelssohn, an increasingly celebrated composer whose works were historically overshadowed by her brother Felix, will be featured through her colorful and deeply romantic String Quartet in E-flat Major. Fanny’s quartet is complemented by Felix’s reaction to her death in his stormy f minor String Quartet, and the program is rounded out by Devin Cholodenko’s new piece, Cracks in the Sky.Garrison Quartet presents dynamic programming that highlights essential but underperformed voices, while contextualizing repertoire in ways that engage both new and seasoned audiences. The quartet has performed throughout the region, including at NEC’s Jordan Hall in Boston and Red Door Chamber Music in Provincetown, MA, and is passionate about expanding access to chamber music through curated thematic programs.Its members — violinists Christopher Nelson and Carson Howell, violist Sachin Shukla, and cellist Tyler Michael James — perform with orchestras throughout New England, including the Boston Philharmonic, Boston Festival Orchestra, Albany Symphony, and Cape Symphony, and are faculty members at many of Boston’s community music schools, including Powers Music School, Attacca School of Music, Project STEP, Boston String Academy, and the Boston Music Project.

Explore fun hands-on science, technology, engineering, and math challenges throughout Camp Cedar Hill from local program partners. Participants will use a map to choose their adventure and which topics to explore. Meet and chat with STEM professionals while digging deeper into topics you love or discovering new ones you may not have known about!
STEM Fest is the premier STEM event of the year at Girl Scouts of Eastern Massachusetts. This event is open to ALL Girl Scout levels with activities and experiments created for different ages.&nbsp;
The event fee includes a collectible fun patch and STEM-themed giveaways. Check back regularly for an updated list of partners and activities!
Daisy, Brownie, and Junior Girl Scouts require volunteer supervision, while Cadettes, Seniors, and Ambassadors have a drop-off option for this event.
