Me and You - a conversation with the artists and a collaborative performance by composer and cellist

Join us on Saturday 10/24 from 4-6 pm for You and Me - a conversation with the artists of Tandem.
One of the most rewarding aspects of our long-running practice is the relationships we have cultivated with and between our artists. To commemorate our twentieth anniversary, we have curated Tandem as a collaborative exhibition to highlight these relationships and celebrate the breadth of our artists’ creativity. Artists were organized into pairs, some who had worked together before and others who had known each other only in passing, to collaborate on a piece for the show. Each group of artists has taken a unique approach to their partnership, making work that is unified thematically, stylistically or literally, as some groups chose to merge their practices into a single work. As always, we were blown away by the talent and passion of our artists, and honored that they would work on this ambitious project with us.
As an added layer of collaboration, at this event Eden Rayz will perform improvised responses to the work in the show. Rayz is a celebrated composer, cellist, instrument designer, and extreme vocalist known for immersive performances that function as individuation rituals.
Refreshments will be served at 4 pm, and the talk will begin around 4:20 pm. Extremely limited seating is available, so please be prepared to stand for the duration of the event.
