Cambridge Man Cited In Arlington Hit-And-Run
Police say an 80-year-old man was behind the wheel of a car that struck a pedestrian on Mass. Ave. Saturday.

ARLINGTON, MA — Police have identified the driver in a hit-and-run on Mass. Ave. Saturday night. An 80-year-old Cambridge man will be cited for leaving the scene of a motor vehicle crash with injuries, police said.
Officers responded to the 100 block of Mass. Ave. around 10:15 p.m. Saturday and found a 48-year-old Baldwinville man lying in the roadway. The man was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
He was in stable condition as of Sunday morning.

"We would like to thank the Cambridge Police Department and the State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section for their assistance with the investigation," Chief Juliann Flaherty said in a statement. "Thanks to all of their help, we’ve been able to identify the operator of the vehicle."
The driver will be arraigned in Cambridge District Court.
