Christo's Market Closing After 43 Years In Arlington

The East Arlington mainstay will shut down at the end of the month.

ARLINGTON, MA — An East Arlington mainstay will close after 43 years. Christo's Market, a Greek market at 200 Massachusetts Ave., is shutting down at the end of the month.

The reason? Owners Georgia and Christos Rozanitis have been at this business for awhile, and they're ready to retire, according to Boston.com.

The business began as a fruit stand in 1976, when the pair were in their early 20s. It eventually blossomed into a full-fledged store serving produce and other Greek specialties.
