Comella's: Boston Chain Closes Arlington Location

ARLINGTON, MA—A Boston-Area chain has closed the doors of its location in Arlington.

Wicked Local Arlington reports that Comella’s has closed its Arlington location after six years of business. The restaurant closed as of Jan. 24.

Nick Greenhalgh of Wicked Local Arlington broke the story.

The restaurant, located at 202 Massachusetts Avenue, has taken down the signage inside and out.

Owner Gene Comella said physical limitations necessitated a move out of the Arlington location.

“Physically we couldn’t do anymore in Arlington, parking was an issue and we felt our energy was more beneficial elsewhere,” he said.

Comella’s has locations in Belmont Center, Chestnut Hill, Concord, Marblehead, Melrose, Natick, Needham, Wellesley, West Newton, West Roxbury, and Westwood.

Comella said he hopes the Belmont location will still attract some of the Arlington customers.

Comella’s website also reflects the closure, and the Patriot Ledger reported earlier this month that Comella’s will open in Hingham.
