Commune Kitchen to Apply to Open in Arlington

The owners of Commune Kitchen are applying for a common victualler license to open their new eatery.

ARLINGTON, MA—It seems like another pizza-serving location is coming to Arlington, as Commune Kitchen will go before the Board of Selectmen Monday.

The owners of Commune Kitchen, Justin Demers and Richard Niedzwiecki, will go before the Selectmen during their April 25 meeting to apply for a common victualler license. The restaurant sits at 203a Broadway in Arlington.

According to the restaurant's Facebook page, which is rather inactive, the restaurant will be fast-casual and european with "slow food." It boasts artisan pizza, sandwiches, pastries, bread and coffee.

According to the reference material provided by the Town Website, the restaurant is set to open in May and will do business during the hours of 10 a.m. and 8 p.m. on weekdays.

The reference material also indicates that the restaurant would be serving beer and wine.

The restaurant did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
