Estimated Cost Of Arlington HS Rebuild Falls Below $300M
The building committee came to the new number Thursday ahead of an expected Feb. 5 vote.

ARLINGTON, MA – The estimated cost of rebuilding Arlington High School has fallen below $300 million, and it could go lower, according to YourArlington. The building committee came to the new $291.7 million figure Thursday during a series of straw votes that examined which elements to keep in the final cost.
The estimate could decline further to $290 million, YourArlington reported. Initial estimates last year placed it at $308 million.
The building committee is expected to hold an official vote Feb. 5 before the project is sent to the School Building Authority. Officials will also discuss moving the payroll office to Town Hall.
