Description: The loss of biological diversity, namely a reduction in the variety of life, is occurring at a rate 100 to 1000 times faster than occurred prior to humans arrival on the planet and at a pace on par with the last great extinction event of 65 million years ago when roughly half of all species were lost. This rapid loss affects human health and well-being.  Dr. Bernstein explains the relationship between emerging disease patterns and declining natural biodiversity.

Free and open to the public.  This program will be recorded for broadcast on community TV and for upload to BlipTV and WGBH Forum Network websites.  The audience will be able to meet and talk with Dr. Bernstein.
