Digging Up Your Roots

The Friends of the Library will host a presentation on Family History by members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Community Room. Christine Cornwall and Colleen Goodsell, members of the Church, will present a program about using the church’s family history center and the web site FamilySearch.org in researching your family history. The Mormon Church has long been known as being a proactive resource in assembling family data that is available for research. The Family History Library in Salt Lake City lends out microfilm and microfiche throughout the United States and Canada. The Belmont Family History Center is open to the public to help with their family history research and to order microfilms from Salt Lake City. We will learn about these resources and more from Christine and Colleen.

So come join us, bring your questions, and learn more about researching your family tree. Admission is free and refreshments will be served.
