Flora Mbasha & Kukublu - African Gospel & Percussion

Get ready to do some dancing in the pews and aisles of this historic Arlington church! You are invited to join us for an inspiring and dynamic evening with Tanzanian gospel recording artist Flora Mbasha and friends in concert.

Opening the show and joining Flora will be local African percussion group Kukublu, headed by Linda Shoemaker of the Arlington Center for the Arts and Mystic Drummers.

Flora and Kukublu have graciously agreed to donate proceeds of the concert to benefit St. John's and the Rafiki Development Foundation, which does environmental and humanitarian work with children & families in Tanzania. We'll have a reception and refreshments afterward, where you can meet our Tanzanian friends and learn about the work and missions of St. John's and Rafiki.

Please join us on March 11 at 7 p.m. at St. John's Episcopal Church, 74 Pleasant St. (Rte. 60) in Arlington. Entry is a requested donation of $15. Call 781-648-4819 for advance reservations (reservations admiitted 15 minutes ahead of public) and details.
