An evening celebration of The Children’s Room garden, transformed from a tired and weedy lawn into a beautiful, flowering place. Performances and presentations illustrate the impact of gardens to heal the spirit, to showcase art and movement, and to stimulate the imagination!
Gardens and Healing is an evening of many sensory delights. Featured speaker, Landscape Architect Robert C. Hoover, specializes in the creation of therapeutic gardens. His talk, Mystery as Healer, draws on many sources for evidence that the knitting together of nature, healing, and design has profound impact on the body, mind, and spirit.
Gardens and Healing guests are also invited to meander through The Children’s Room garden and talk with the garden’s designer, David McCoy. A special appearance by Luminarium Dance Company brings the garden to life as dancers transform from living statuary to interpret the power of gardens to heal.
