Find My Phone App Helps Woman Recover Her Phone, Just Not From Who She Thought

The woman said the phone was retrieved from a different man than the one she saw at the ATM.

At 8:15 p.m. Sept. 2, officer spoke with reporting party in the lobby at the police station.

She said that while she was at the ATM, a white male walked in and left abruptly. After he left, the woman noticed that her phone was missing. The woman used the “Find My Phone” application on her cellphone and was able to see that the phone was at a home in Lexington. She drove to Lexington and met a Lexington officer, and they retrieved the phone.

The woman said the phone was retrieved from a different man than the one she saw at the ATM.

Lexington officers spoke with the man who claimed he found the phone at the bank when he was there and was going to bring it by the bank in the morning in hopes of finding the owner.

The woman did not wish to have any further action taken and was happy that she got the phone back.
