More than 100 runners crossed the finish line at the first Running with Friends 5K in Arlington center on Sunday, Sept. 12.
Noah Jampol, of Waban, won the race, which is meant to raise awareness and support for the Council on Aging. He completed the 3.1-mile course in 17 minutes, 23 seconds.
Burlington's Rachel Shanley was the top female finisher in 18:51.

Arlington residents young and old came out for the community event, which featured music and entertainment.
Jeanne Tift ran with her students from the Chapel Hill-Chauncy Hall School, and the Boy Scouts of Troop 306 also raced the course.

Maureen Jackson, second among females in the 60-69 age group, ran with her daughter and granddaughter. The trio ran 39:42.
