Five Things: Easter Egg Hunt Friday

Today is Thursday, April 5. Here are five things you need to know:

1. Today should be sunny with a high near 55 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.

2. The Recreation Department is hosting a free (ages 2-10) at 11 a.m. Friday at . Don’t be late, as the hunt will be very short (5-10 minutes). There will also be a special visitor.

3. Plan accordingly: Other town departments will be open for a half day (), and trash and recycling will not be affected.

4. In case you missed it, the MBTA in an attempt to close the T’s projected $159 million deficit in the next fiscal year.

5. Spy Ponders vs. Cougars: The boys’ lacrosse team will host at 3:45 p.m. Then, at 5:30 p.m., the girls’ lacrosse teams will square off. In other action, Arlington High’s boys’ volleyball is at Lincoln-Sudbury at 3:45 p.m., and Arlington Catholic’s boys’ and girls’ tennis teams will face Cardinal Spellman at 3:30 p.m. (the boys’ at home, the girls’ on the road).
