Flora Restaurant Successor Applies to Open in East Arlington
The new eatery has applied for a common victualler and all alcohol license to the Board of Selectmen.
ARLINGTON, MA — A new eatery planned for East Arlington has big shoes to fill as it has recently applied to open in a space which was occupied by a neighborhood favorite for over 20 years.
Duet Restaurant has applied for a common victualler and all alcohol license at 190/192 Massachusetts Ave., the former location of Flora Restaurant. The applicants behind Flora, Cyrille Coucet and Wayne A. Duprey, were tapped as the successor's to the space upon the announcement of Flora's closure in June.
The proposed eatery will feature a seating capacity of 110. It will be open on Monday through Friday from 5 p.m. to midnight; as well as Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to midnight.

According to the application, Duprey currently serves as assistant director of food and beverage at the Four Seasons Resort in Hualalai, Kailu-Kona, HI. Coucet currently serves as the executive chef at the Intercontinental Hotel in Boston and the Questrom School of Business at Boston University.
The menu features starters of lobster bisque, squid ink and sweet chilli tossed fried calamari as well as main courses of grilled hanger steak brushed with Red Wine Mustard and dungeness crab ravioli.

The application is set to go before the Board of Selectmen on Aug. 22.
