Flora Successor Eyes November Opening
The East Arlington eatery was approved for a Common Victualler's License on Aug. 22.
ARLINGTON, MA — The eatery set to take over the former Flora Restaurant space in East Arlington is targeting an opening date in early November.
A job listing posted on Craigslist indicates that Bistro Duet is expecting to open at its 190 Massachusetts Avenue location in early November. The eatery plans to feature a seating capacity of 110.
In June, Flora restaurant announced its closure after 20 years of business.

"I was so depressed about Flora closing, but I'm excited about your opening," Selectman Kevin Greeley stated at the Aug. 22 meeting of the Arlington Board of Selectmen.
Bistro Duet will be open on Monday through Friday from 5 p.m. to midnight; as well as Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to midnight. The posting indicates that the restaurant is interviewing for both front and back-of-house positions.

The menu submitted to the Board of Selectmen features starters of lobster bisque, squid ink and sweet chili tossed fried calamari as well as main courses of grilled hanger steak brushed with Red Wine Mustard and Dungeness crab ravioli.
Flora was unanimously approved for a common victualler's license by the Board of Selectmen on Aug. 22.
