David Crosby Comes To Arlington, And Trump Controversy Follows
After a concert in Arlington this week a fan took to Twitter to tell the activist folk singer he was disappointed he brought up politics.

ARLINGTON, MA — An exchange between an area man who went to a David Crosby concert at the Regent this week has put Arlington on the map across the internet, following an exchange on Twitter.
The fan praised the activist singer-songwriter for his music, but said he wasn't a fan of Crosby bringing his politics up. "Don’t you realize that you will piss off 1/2 of your audience or at least 1/3 in liberal areas when you do that?," wrote the man.
A little background for those of you who don't have your mouth open right now: The singer songwriter was active in the 60's and 70's with Crosby, Stills and Nash. And as many musicians then did, he peppered his music with his political beliefs over the years, during both the civil rights and anti-war movements, and he hasn't really let up.

“If you’re a Trump dummy and you don’t like progressives. Don’t come to my show a*****,” wrote Crosby.
Some fans laughed it off as a joke. Others said they were shocked. One man tweeted a reminder that, despite the fact that yes, Arlington is in Massachusetts a generally blue state, there are a percentage of folks who voted for President Donald Trump.

17.45% of Arlington voted Trump in 2016, which is more than I'd like, but worth being aware of how many of our neighbors think differently
