Four Arlington Teams Ousted from State Tournament

Today is Wednesday, June 5. Here are five things you need to know.

1.) The 11th-seeded Arlington High boys’ tennis team lost at No. 3 North Andover 3-2 Tuesday in the quarterfinals of the Division 2 North bracket. The Spy Ponders finish the season 13-9.

2.) The eighth-seeded Arlington High baseball team lost to Cinderella, No. 17 Dracut 1-0 Tuesday in the quarterfinals of the Division 2 North bracket. The Spy Ponders finish the season 15-7.

3.) The 18th-seeded Arlington Catholic boys’ lacrosse team lost at No. 2 Austin Prep. 9-8 Monday in the second round of the Division 3 East bracket. The Cougars finish the season 12-8.

4.) The fourth-seeded Arlington Catholic baseball team lost to No. 5 Whittier 11-3 Monday in the quarterfinals of the Division 3 North bracket. The Cougars finish the season 16-6.

5.) Today should be mostly sunny with a high near 76, according to the National Weather Service.
