FOX25's Zip Trips to Kick Off in Arlington Friday

The morning FOX25 news team will be in Arlington for a live broadcast on Friday

ARLINGTON, MA—Boston's FOX25 news team will be doing a live broadcast in Arlington on June 24, according to a release Friday.

The release indicates that the Arlington stop will be the team's first broadcast of Zip Trips for the season, which will be the 13th season of Zip Trips. FOX25 Morning News anchors Gene Lavanchy, Sara Underwood, Daniel Miller, Julie Grauert, Meteorologist Shiri Spear and FOX25 Around Town Host Michele Lazcano will host the broadcasts.

“This is a wonderful opportunity to take FOX25 Morning News out of the studio and connect with the communities we serve and the neighbors who watch our newscasts,” said Tom Raponi, WFXT Vice President and General Manager in a press release.

The newscasts will features interviews with special guests, newsmakers and local heroes. The "Taste of the Town" segment will also return this year, highlighting some of the town's fare.

According to the release, Zip Trip attendees will also have the chance to register to win a new Mazda CX-9 given away during the Zip Trip season finale. The show will air in Arlington at the Boys & Girls Club on Friday, June 24, from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m.
