ICYMI: New Arlington Heights Pizzeria Now Open for Business
The eatery hopes to breathe some life into a space which has laid dormant since 2013.

ARLINGTON, MA — While there is no shortage of pizza in Arlington, pie lovers now have a new option in Arlington Heights. La Famiglia Pizzeria opened its doors for business on Monday, Dec. 19, at its 1215 Massachusetts Ave. location, according to its Facebook page.
The new eatery has big shoes to fill, taking over in the former Nicola Pizza House space which was an Arlington mainstay for over 40 years. The eatery went before the Board of Selectmen during its June 6 meeting and was unanimously approved for a food vendor permit during the meeting.
Nicola's stood in Arlington Heights for 42 years before closing in June of 2013. The closure of Nicola's brought tears to the eyes of many residents, but customers got a chance to bring home a memory from the beloved pizza house at an everything-must-go auction in 2014.
