The following is from the Town of Arlington.
The last phase of the Town’s LED streetlight conversion program will began the week of June 24 and is estimated to take five weeks, weather dependent.
This phase of the program will update the remaining High Pressure Sodium (HPS) streetlights in Town to Light Emitting Diode (LED) streetlights. The previous phase converted about a third of the Town’s HPS lights and was performed mostly in East Arlington.

During the conversion residents may notice crews working to install the lights. It is not anticipated that the work crews will cause any need for traffic re-routing or detours.
Residents will also notice that LED streetlights are white in color, as opposed to the yellowish tone of the current streetlights. Any updates and past information about this project can be found at arlingtonma.gov/energy.
