Local Teens Come Together to Throw the Ultimate Sweet 16!

One of our members at the Arlington Boys & Girls Club was unable to celebrate her 16th birthday due to a loss of a parent. The past few weeks her friends came together and planned a surprise Sweet 16 from start to finish! They picked the decorations, made sure we ordered her favorite food, and invited 25 of her closest friends! Last Friday, it was such a success! The teens formed a giant conga line, did the Cupid shuffle, a dance off, and so much more. The highlight of the night was when they all gathered in the middle of the room, wrapped their arms around each other, and sang "Lean on Me" at the top of their lungs.

Our kids' lives are not always easy, but they have the best of friends to help them along the way. We are so lucky to be able to provide a safe place for these teens to spend their Friday night dancing away to the AMAZING Dj Dee of D&J entertainment!
