Longtime Family-Run Arlington Business Sold

The Summer Street store will close this month after over 40 years of business.

ARLINGTON, MA – A building housing a longtime family-run Arlington business has been sold. The NAPA Auto Parts building at 108 Summer St. has been bought by local food-rescue organization Food Link, according to YourArlington.

"We are so excited about our new home, which will expand Food Link’s capacity to help the communities we currently serve and also provide the potential to help more neighborhoods," DeAnne Dupont, Food Link president and co-founder, said in a statement earlier this month. "With 4,000 square feet of space, Food Link’s new facility will allow us to consolidate our entire operations under one roof, providing greater cold and dry storage capacity, office space for our staff, and a more accessible working environment for our 150 dedicated volunteers."

NAPA, owned by the Xenos family, first opened in 1976 and moved to Summer Street in 1992. It will close next week because the business is just no longer there, a member of the Xenos family told YourArlington.
