Malden Man Charged With Second OUI After Arlington Stop
A Malden resident was stopped after an officer saw him driving slowly and weaving between lanes in Arlington, police said.

ARLINGTON, MA — A Malden man was arrested Tuesday and charged with his second OUI offense after a traffic stop in Arlington. Basudev Thapa, 41, was pulled over around 1:30 a.m. after an officer saw him driving slowly on Pleasant Street and weaving between lanes, according to police.
There was an "obvious" alcohol smell coming from Thapa's car, police said. Thapa agreed to take part in field sobriety tests and was arrested based on the results, according to police.
In addition to a subsequent OUI charge, Thapa also faces charges of a marked lanes violation and red light violation.
