Male Jumped by 2 Teens on Bike Path
The teens attempted to steal his wallet but were unsuccessful, he told police.

A male was walking on the Minuteman bike path from Mystic Street to Mill Street in Arlington at about 9:30 p.m. Tuesday when he was jumped by two teens who attempted to steal his wallet.
He said he was able to fight off the two teen males, who fled before getting the wallet.
The victim told police that he had gotten off an MBTA bus in Arlington Center and then stopped at an ATM before proceeding to the bike path.

He said first one of the suspects asked him if he needed anything and if he wanted to buy cocaine. Then, after he got something at a store, the teens came up behind him. One of the teens grabbed him around the neck, while the other tried to get his wallet, he said.
The victim, who went to the ground, said the teens fled after he yelled. He then called 911 at the store, he said.

Police were unable to locate the suspects.
