Man Sells Fentanyl, Cocaine To Undercover Arlington Cop: Police

The 24-year-old Lynn man was arrested a short time after a drug deal with an undercover officer, police said.

ARLINGTON, MA — A Lynn man was arrested on fentanyl and cocaine trafficking charges after selling to an undercover officer, police said.

Arlington Police said an undercover officer met Angel Manuel Rodriguez, 24, in the Fremont Court parking lot and bought fentanyl and cocaine to him Friday afternoon. Rodriguez was pulled over by police a short time later and arrested.

A search of his vehicle turned up plastic baggies of fentanyl, totaling 56.58 grams including what was sold, and cocaine, totaling 3.7 grams, as well as nearly $3,000, police said.

Rodriguez was charged with trafficking more than 10 grams of fentanyl, distribution of A class drug, and distribution of a class B drug. He will be arraigned Tuesday in Cambridge District Court.
