Markey Takes 74 Percent of Arlington Vote

Senator-elect Ed Markey took 74 percent of the Arlington vote in Tuesday’s special election. 

The congressman, who has represented Arlington in the 5th Congressional District since 1976, received 55 percent of the vote statewide.

Republican candidate Gabriel Gomez received 25 percent of the vote in Arlington, 45 percent statewide.

Arlington had a 42.9 percent turnout.
