Mexican Restaurant Also Coming To Bagels By Us Space

ARLINGTON, MA – A second restaurant is moving into the former Bagels by Us space on Mass. Ave. The longtime bagel shop will be split in half, with the previously announced Butternut Bakehouse bakery taking over part of the space.

It will be joined by Jose's Torta Mexicana, according to Boston Restaurant Talk. The restaurant will be run by the owner of Jose's in Cambridge, the site reported.

Bagels by Us closed last March after 22 years on Mass. Ave. Last fall, the select board approved a license for Butternut Bakehouse. The bakery will have seating for 14 people and serve salads, pastries, cakes, cookies, coffee, tea and juice, YourArlington previously reported.
