MIAA Basketball Tournament: Arlington Seedings

ARLINGTON, MA—The Arlington High School Spy Ponders and the Arlington Catholic Cougars are set to make a run at the MIAA tournament crown as the 2016 Tournament pairings have just been announced.

With a 16-4 record, the Male Spy Ponders are the No. 3 seed in the Boys Division 2 North standings and will face No. 14 Lynn Classical in Game 9of the first round, according to the pairings announced by the Boston Herald. The Female Spy Ponders earned a No. 13 seed in the Girls Division 1 North tournament on the strength of an 11-9 campaign. They will face No. 4 Revere in Game 2 of the first round.

The Male Arlington Catholic Cougars have earned a No. 13 seed with a 9-12 record and will take on No. 4 Weston in Game 2 of the Division 3 North first round. The Female Cougars’ 15-4 record has earned them the third seed in the Division 2 North tournament, and they will take on No. 14 Wakefield in Game 5 of the first round.
