New Arlington Bakery Set to Open Next Week
The bakery passed its final inspection Thursday morning.

Za’atar, the Middle Eastern/Armenian bakery replacing Loukoumaki Bakery at 916 Mass. Ave. in Arlington, is expected to open next week, according to Arlington Health and Human Services.

Andre Stepanian, who was born in Lebanon and lives in Waltham, is behind the new bakery. Stepanian is new to the food business.

Za’atar’s hours will be 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday-Saturday. Its menu features lahmajun (Armenian pizza).
The bakery is at the corner of Mass. Ave. and Highland Avenue, across from Stop & Shop.
