New Arlington Center Restaurant Expects To Open Soon

ARLINGTON, MA – A new restaurant moving into a long-vacant space in Arlington Center could be here as soon as next month. Usushi Cafe expects to open in the former Yummys Frozen Yogurt spot on Mass. Ave. in December, according to the Arlington Advocate.

According to a menu submitted to the Arlington Select Board, the restaurant will offer sushi, makimono sashimi, soups and salads. Ping Zheng, who applied for a food license last month, is listed as having a Quincy address.

Yummys closed in 2015 after about two years in Arlington, and the storefront has since been vacant. The address for Usushi Cafe is 474 Massachusetts Ave.
