New Bishop Principal Holds Meet and Greet
Tonight will be an opportunity for parents to meet the new principal before the fall.
Tonight is the meet and greet at Bishop Elementary for the new interim principal.
Steven Silvestri will serve as the interim principal at Bishop Elementary School for the 2010-2011 school year after Steven Carme, who has been the principal for many years, officially retires over the summer.
According to a release sent by Superintendent, Kathleen Bodie, Silvestri is a retired public elementary school principal with 36 years of experience in education.

Silvestri will officially begin August 23.
"Mr. Silvestri is very interested in having opportunities to meet with parents before school starts," Carme told parents in an e-mail. "We realize that many families are on vacation in July, so additional meeting opportunities will be scheduled later in August."

Tonight's meeting will be held at Bishop tonight (Thursday) from 7 to 8 p.m. in the library.
