New Karate Studio to Move to Arlington Center Location
The karate studio offers a system composed of various forms of martial arts.

ARLINGTON, MA — Arlington Center will be home to a new karate studio in the coming months, as Elite Freestyle Karate will be moving from its current location on Broadway to an Arlington Center storefront.
Owner Gary Meyer told Patch that the studio is currently in the early stages of interior construction at 5 Medford St., the former location of the children's clothing store Wild Child. Meyer says that the studio is waiting on permitting from the town and hopes to be open by Oct. 1.
"Arlington is a very strong, diverse community that has a need of our type of marital arts program," Meyer said.

Meyer's studio offers a combination of traditonal martial arts such as kyokushin karate, taekwondo, jiu-jitsu and kempo. Elite Freestyle Karate has locations in Winchester, Bedford and Reading.
The studio has been operating out of the Together in Motion building located on 1 Broadway. Meyer stated unlike many schools around the area, his staff consists of full-time martial arts instructors.
