Obituary: Katherine D. Wall, 29; Excelled in Athletics, Elected to the UMass Boston Athletic Hall of Fame

Katherine D. Wall, 29, of Arlington, died peacefully on September 2, 2015, at home with her loving family. Beloved daughter of Benjamin Wall and Jeanne (Hayes) of Arlington. Adored sister of Rebekah Wall and Meredith Wall, both of Arlington. Loving granddaughter of Barbara “Bubbles” Hayes and her late husband Ronnie of Arlington, and the late Benjamin and Helen Wall of Milton. Cherished niece of Deborah Hayes and her husband David Gilpatrick of Arlington, Denise Hayes of Arlington, Chuck Hayes of Arlington, Robert Wall and his wife Adryth of Waltham, Francis Wall and his wife Sharon of Walpole, and Fred Wall and his wife Susan of NH. Katherine is the proud aunt of Jacob and Chloe Cruz-Wall. Also survived by her cousins, Amanda, Michael, Matthew, Jennifer, and Jaclyn.

Katherine was a graduate of Arlington High School and UMass Boston where she excelled in athletics and was elected to the UMass Boston Athletic Hall of Fame.

Katherine’s compassion for others and her courage, and determination as she battled breast cancer inspired all. Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours in Saint John’s Episcopal Church, 74 Pleasant St., Arlington on Friday from 3-8 pm. A Funeral Service in St. John’s Episcopal Church, 74 Pleasant St., Arlington on Saturday at 10 am. Burial in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Arlington.
