Obituary: Nancy McKenna, of Arlington

McKenna died Tuesday, Sept. 30. She was 92.

Nancy (Mazerolle) McKenna, of Arlington, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 30, after a period of declining health. She was 92.

Nancy married Alfred E. McKenna in New Bedford on April 7, 1952. She is survived by her beloved husband and best friend of 63 years Alfred E. McKenna; her daughters Mary Fitzpatrick and her husband Scott of Concord, New Hampshire, Joan Millian and her husband Ned of Arlington and Elizabeth Rice and her husband Don of Fitchburg, her daughter-in-law Louise McKenna of Charlton and her sister Viola Roy. Nancy was predeceased by her son Stephen J. McKenna. She was the proud grandmother of Kristen and Steven, Mac and Jen, Tim and Susie, Beth and Jon, Stephen, Christopher and Rebecca, Michael, James, Danielle and Aaron and Joseph. She leaves five great-grandchildren, Maddie, Grace, JD, Jake and Kayla with three on the way. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Funeral from the Keefe Funeral Home, 5 Chestnut St., Route 60 (adjacent to St. Agnes Church), on Friday at 9 a.m. A funeral mass celebrating Nancy’s life and entrance into heaven will take place at 10 a.m. at St. Agnes Church in Arlington. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours Thursday 4-8 p.m. with the Rosary being said at 5:30 p.m. Burial will take place in St. Roch’s Cemetery in Oxford on Friday at 3 p.m. The family respectfully requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Stephen J. McKenna Scholarship Fund, Knights of Columbus Council 11379, St. Joseph’s Church, 10 H Putnam Road Ext., Charlton, MA 01507.
