Elderly Woman Hit By Car In Arlington: Police
The 81-year-old Arlington resident was seriously injured when she was struck at Chestnut Street and Chestnut Terrace Tuesday.

ARLINGTON, MA — A pedestrian was seriously injured when she was hit by a car in Arlington Tuesday morning, police said. Emergency crews responded to Chestnut Street and Chestnut Terrace around 6:50 a.m. after an 81-year-old Arlington woman was hit by a 2017 Ford Explorer driven by a 48-year-old Saugus man, according to police.
The driver of the SUV remained at the scene and spoke with investigators. The victim was hospitalized with potentially life-threatening injuries, police said.
The investigation is being led by the Massachusetts State Police.
