Police Break Up Underage House Party on Westminster Avenue

When police arrived, several juveniles holding beer cans were walking out of the basement door spraying a fire extinguisher, police said.

Police broke up an underage house party on Westminster Avenue in Arlington at about 11:30 p.m. Sunday.

The juvenile host, who was charged with underage possession of alcohol, told police their parents were on vacation. The juvenile said they invited a small group of friends over to watch the New England Patriots game and then a large number of uninvited guests arrived.

When police arrived, several juveniles holding beer cans were walking out of the basement door spraying a fire extinguisher, according to police. Police said the house was in “disarray” with beer cans and bottles of alcohol scattered throughout.

Police contacted the juvenile host’s father, and the juvenile was picked up by a neighbor. Police said the other partygoers were picked up by their parents.
