Police Check On Man Sitting By Bike Path, Man Threatens Police, Police Arrest Man: Arlington Arrest Log

A man sitting on the ground allegedly threatened police after they asked him if he needed help.

ARLINGTON, MA — Police noted they arrested one individual in Arlington so far this week. An arrest does not imply conviction but here's what happened, according to the public police report.

Monday, Oct. 23

Warrants: Police arrested Stephen A. Remick, homeless on three warrants out of Somerville after they were called to check out a person asleep on the side of the bike bath.

When police got there they found a man, later identified as Remick, sitting on the ground next to a trash can. A police officer asked Remick if he needed any help to which he replied "[Expletive] you N***ers, I'll break your legs."

Officers then moved Remick to a bench and then radioed to dispatch who confirmed he had three warrants. They took him into custody on those warrants.
