Police Log: Road Rage, A Rollover And An Assault On The Bike Path

Road Rage

2:03 p.m.- Arlington Police arrived at Mystic Municipal Lot after one driver threatened the other with a knife. The two motorists got into a verbal altercation when one tried to cut off the other at the exit. A 23-year-old Woburn man brandished a knife after the driver in the other car allegedly gave him the middle finger. Police are still investigating the incident. 

Elderly Driver Causes Roll-over 

4:08 p.m.- An 88-year-old female resident ran a stop sign at the intersection of Bartlett Avenue and Gray Street, striking a car on Gray Street. The motorist hit the car with such force that the car flipped on its side. Police at the scene reported the motorist as an immediate threat and referred the incident to the Department of Motor Vehicles. 

Assault on the Bike Path 

11:49 p.m.- Authorities found a 35-year-old homeless man bloodied and wondering on Massachusetts Avenue. The man said two men approached him on the bike path and assaulted him with a blunt object. He was knocked unconscious and when he came to, he said the two men were gone. Police are still investigating this incident.
