Rash Of Car Break Ins: Arlington Police Logs

A number of cars were broken into over the weekend.

ARLINGTON, MA — The following is a sample of the types of calls the Arlington Police received over the weekend. Just because someone reported an incident a certain way doesn't mean that's the way it actually panned out.

Friday, Dec. 8

Break ins: There were several reports of break ins over night: A Milton Street resident called at 5:49 p.m. to report a break in. Then a Margaret Street resident called at 6:14 p.m. to report a break in. A Burch Street resident called at 6:17 p.m. to report a break in and then another resident called at 6:32 to report something similar happened to them. At 6:52 p.m. someone on Varnum Street reported a break in. The crime map (see below) appears to show the incidents as car break ins.

Saturday, Dec. 9

Another Break in: At 10:20 a.m. a Brooks Avenue resident called police to report a break in.

Disturbance: Someone reported some sort of disturbance on Ryder Street at 5:20 p.m. and then again at 6:20 p.m.

Suspicious: Someone on Windmill Lane called to report what they thought was suspicious activity just before midnight.

Sunday, Dec. 10

Malicious: Someone called at 7:14 a.m. to report malicious damage to a property on Maynard Street. The damage totaled more than $250.

Fire? Just after 11 a.m. a fire alarm went off on Maynard Street, and police helped investigate.

Damage: At 1:21 p.m. someone reported more malicious damage to a property totaling more than $250 worth of damage. This time it was on Patrick Street.
