Restaurant Replacing Arlington's Retro Burger

Retro Burger is closing after seven years on Mass. Ave., but the space won't remain empty long.

ARLINGTON, MA — A new restaurant is moving into the Retro Burger and Ice Cream space on Mass. Ave., but the menu might not be all that different. Citing a post on the Arlington List Facebook page, Boston Restaurant Talk reported that Happy Belly Eats is replacing Retro Burger and may serve burgers and hot dogs.

Sound familiar? Retro Burger's menu includes chili, hot dogs, chicken fingers and other similar fare. The spot first opened in 2013 in the former Cakes Bakery location.

According to Boston Restaurant Talk, Jason Carter, whose resume includes Sunset Grill and Tap, The Rox Diner and Social Restaurant and Bar, is the person behind the upcoming restaurant.
