Rita F. (Barker) Brennan, of Arlington, 92, died peacefully on Thursday, Dec. 5, 2013, surrounded by her loving family at Winchester Hospital where she received wonderful care from a warm and loving staff.
She was born on June 6, 1921, the daughter of the late James and Mary Barker. She was a graduate of Cambrige High and Latin.
Devoted wife of 71 years to William F. She was a loving mother, proud grandmother of 18, great grandmother of 15, with another great grandaughter due in March. She will be sorely missed but never forgotten by her loving children: William F. of Woburn, Helen F. Friel of W. Dennis, Rita F. Kelly of Arlington, Michael M. of Arlington, Mary M. Grazewski of Acton, Patricia A. Kelly of Groton, Robert E. of Arlington. Sister of Rosemarie McCarthy of Amesbury and the late William Barker, Mary O'Leary and Alice Bostic. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visting hours in the Brown & Hickey Funeral Home, 36 Trapelo Road, Belmont, Monday, 8-9:30 a.m. followed by a funeral mass in St. Peter's Church, 100 Concord Ave., Cambridge, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Interment Cambridge Cemetery.
