Selectmen Announce Recipients of Arlington Honor Awards
See who will be taking home the town's top honors Thursday, June 27.

The Board of Selectmen announced Thursday this year’s recipients of the Arlington Honor Awards.
The awards are given to citizens who have made “outstanding contributions to the enrichment and advancement of the Town of Arlington,” according to a town release.

The Robbins Award for significant contributions in the area of social, cultural, educational, political or philanthropic service will be presented to Jane Howard and posthumously to William Shea.
The Cyrus E. Dallin Award for outstanding and meritorious service in the area of education, art, culture or philanthropy will be presented to Jennifer Rothenberg and the Arlington Education Foundation.

The Samuel A. Wilson Award for considerable contributions in the area of patriotism, business or government will be presented to John Worden and the Finance Committee.
The Joseph P. Greeley Award for town employees that have demonstrated continuous and outstanding public service above and beyond the call of duty will be presented to Shirley Dunton and Claire Roberts.
The Good Citizen Award for outstanding volunteer service will be presented to the Friends of Robbins Farm Park, Hillary Rappaport and Susan Dorson.
The town will honor recipients at an awards ceremony at 7 p.m. Thursday, June 27, at Town Hall. The public is welcome and encouraged to attend.
The selectmen thanked the Awards Committee – chairman John Hurd, George Laite, Nora Mann, Nicholas Mitropoulos and Robert Tosi – for running the nomination process.
