Selectmen Set Insurance Rates for 2011
Rates next year will increase from 0% to just over 20%.

The Board of Selectmen approved the insurance rates for the town of Arlington last night.
The Harvard Pilgrim Health rate, premium, will have a rate hold or 0% increase. MedEx, which serves mostly Medicare eligible retirees will also be at a rate hold. The largest town plan, HMO Blue will increase at 11% for individuals and 10.8% for families.
Blue Choice is estimated to increase by 20.5%. The town will reach out to all residents on this plan to see about switching over to HMO Blue.

The town will also hold its annual health care fair on November 4 so members can also speak with their providers.
