Snow Storm: Wintery Mix Could Hit Arlington

Commuting conditions are expected to be challenging and extra caution is advised.

A winter storm is forecast to impact Arlington starting this afternoon and lasting into Thursday evening.

Current projected snowfall totals in the Boston area are currently between 4 to 6 inches. Freezing rain and sleet are also forecast overnight and could create slippery conditions.

Arlington officials are preparing locally and are working with state agencies to monitor the storm. Resources will be deployed as needed.

Commuting conditions are expected to be challenging and extra caution is advised. At this time, no snow emergency parking restrictions are being implemented—but not parking on roadways will help plowing operations.
