ARLINGTON, MA—While it is likely not the result that they would have hoped for, all is not lost for the Arlington Spy Ponders boy’s hockey team after falling to Hingham in Monday’s Super 8 play-in game.
According to the Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association brackets, the Spy Ponders will now receive a first-round bye in the North Division 1 tournament. The Spy Ponders will square off against the winner of the contest between Newburyport and Wilmington.

No. 9 Central Catholic topped Reading in the other play-in game, and those teams are set to begin a three-game series in the Super 8 tournament.
