ARLINGTON, MA — Arlington’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Director Jillian Harvey announced Friday that Teresa Marzilli has been named the town’s first Community Outreach and Engagement Coordinator.

As a part of the DEI division of Health & Human Services, this position works with the DEI Director and other partners to design and implement comprehensive and inclusive community outreach and engagement strategies and opportunities with a focus on the inclusion of historically under-represented groups.

“This new role is quite innovative for the DEI division, now having a face to be present within the Arlington community and serving and building relationships with residents in-person,” Harvey said in a statement. “Teresa’s background in social work and social justice will be an asset to the DEI team.”
